2019 at Sharpham

Finally the cold months are coming to an end and the evenings are pulling out. This only means one thing at Sharpham – everything comes back to life!

Although throughout the winter months the vines lie dormant, our tours wind up and the restaurant stops service, it doesn’t mean everything comes to a halt. We have had a very busy couple of months and we’ve been working hard in the winery to ensure the incredible 2018 harvest develops nicely and fulfills its huge potential. We have also been showcasing our wines at every opportunity and with a lot of success.

We are pleased to announce that three of our wines and been added to the portfolio of the reputable on trade supplier Boutinot, who are already pushing our wines throughout the country and even overseas. We attended two of their trade tasting events, one in Manchester and one in London, where we showcased our Dart Valley Reserve 2017Pinot Gris 'Wild Ferment' 2017 and our Pinot Noir 2017 (of which was given the title of 'Star Buy' sitting alongside numerous classics from Italy, France, USA etc.). It’s safe to say they were a huge hit which has led to high volume orders and sales – we thought we’d let you know that all of these wines are still available at the moment for purchase online or at our winery shop - but stocks are getting low!

Next in February we had the pleasure of attending a gathering for some of the country’s finest chefs who are part of the iconic Relais Chateau group and hosted at Dart Farm in Exeter. We were selected among a handful of local artisan producers such as Salcombe GinSandford Orchard and Luscombe  to present our wines and cheeses, which were tasted by the renowned chef Raymond Blanc and local Michelin star chef Michael Caines of Lympstone Manor.

We will re-open on 1st March (Mon - Sat) for tastings and sales. As of the 8th April The Cellar Door Kitchen we re-open and start serving up more incredible dishes as they did last year. And from April we're open seven days a week and the full tours will restart.

Have a look at our Visit Page for information and bookings for our tours and tastings.

We look forward to welcoming you in 2019!
