Over 15th - 17th May, we exhibited our wines at London Wine Fair, Olympia, for the first time ever as part of the Wine GB showcase stand, and alongside hundreds of producers from across the globe to one of the biggest wine markets in the world. Quite a mean feat for a small Devon producer!
We ended up pouring a fair few wines as we really couldn’t decide on just four or five, and wanted to show off the diversity and different winemaking techniques in our portfolio!
Three of these wines were selected by three different leading wine writers as being star picks of the whole event, making us the most recommended producer of the whole of London Wine Fair as well as the only English wine producer to have any wines nominated at all! You can read the full list of recommendations here
We exhibited the following…
‘Figgie Daniel’ Col Fondo 2021
Classic Cuvée 2020
Blanc de Noirs 2020* (currently unreleased)
Dart Valley Reserve 2022*
Pinot Rosé 2022
Bacchus ‘Stop Ferment’ 2022
‘Little Bee’ Pinot Gris 2021*
Pinot Noir 2021
Pinot Noir ‘Reserve’ 2020 (currently unreleased)
*writers top picks
The buzz around our stand was electric with people from all over the wine world seeking out our South Devon wines. It was great to get feedback from people from across the wine industry and show them what we’re up to here in the Dart Valley. As well as the wine writers picks, it seems our Col Fondo went down incredibly well, as did the un-released Pinot Noir from 2020, which we feel may need another 6-8 months under cork before it really starts hitting its peak…watch this space!
