Circa Restaurant Chef / Sous Chef - Full Time Immediate Start

With award-winning wines and a prestigious farm for neighbours, we’re able to champion the best produce available and write our menus daily. Not only this, but we’re immensely proud of the small, passionate & dedicated team we’ve built. This allows us to create the best experience possible for our guests, however, we’re also conscious of our impact, with sustainability at the forefront.

• An ingredient-led approach, reflecting the seasons as nature intended

• Organic where possible but not at the detriment of food miles

• Homemade, buying raw, unprocessed where possible and using everything available, including bi-product from wine making

• Ethically sourced produce. Day-boat fish landed in the morning a few miles away by our trusted fisherman. Beef from the herd of South Devons on the estate. Veg from no-dig, organic farms in the time of plenty.

The kind of person we’re after:

• You're highly motivated and possess an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering those high standards for our guests and pushing our business forward.

• An exemplary preparation and service of our menus, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times within the kitchen and junior team members.

• Ensuring that appropriate mise-en-place, stock rotation and portion controls are spot on and that the kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy.

• Maintaining a can-do and problem-solving attitude, you will be both passionate about standards and also have great eye for detail.

• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their experience with us exceptional.

• You will have a passion for food and quality products, be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed

• You’ll remain calm, efficient and professional in a pressurised environment. No toxic, ‘old-school’ nonsense.

• Fully qualified to the appropriate standard to be running a shift autonomously.

• You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner

• You're a strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual.

• You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year depending on experience. Immediate start.

Tasting room host

We’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic wine lover to join our front of house team to serve and sell our wines, and to lead tours and tastings at our brand-new winery visitor attraction.

Experience in wine service would be preferred, or alternatively a WSET qualification or equivalent. We’ll offer you all the in-house training you will need to ensure you get a good grasp of all our wines as well as vineyard and winemaking practices, along with the opportunity to work the occasional shift in the winery or vineyard!

We are looking for someone who is hard-working, a confident communicator, passionate about food and drink, willing to learn and who has a welcoming and friendly approach with guests.
