We’re pretty selective about the competitions we enter. They can be a bit of a lottery seeing as wine is so subjective. But every now and then, the stars align.
We’ve just picked up Golds for both the Classic Cuvée 2022 (out in a couple of weeks, but the Gold medal 2021 vintage is also still available) and the Classic Cuvée Rosé 2022 (available now) at the Global Sparkling Wine Masters.
Then, a couple of weeks later, we heard we’d also won Golds for the Blanc de Blancs 2020, ‘Sonny’ 2022, and our single barrel Pinot Gris 2019 at the Wine GB Awards. On top of that, ‘Sonny’ took Best Innovative Wine and Best Creative White, and the Pinot Gris 2019 was named Best Orange Wine.
All in all, it made us the second most awarded producer in the UK this year—which we’re pretty chuffed about.
'Sonny' is now available online and in our cellar door shop. For fans of Fino Sherry or Manzanilla, this is a must try
The Blanc de Blancs will be available very soon. We hit a few snags with the labels—classic case of trying to rush things out to match the awards news. That one’s on us.
The Pinot Gris 2019 is a bit trickier. We only made 200 bottles, and it’s likely heading straight to some of the UK’s top restaurants. We might release a few to subscribers though, so keep an eye out.
