We aim to dispatch goods within 3 days of receiving your order. We will make every effort to deliver within the time stated on our website but we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If the original delivery date cannot be met, you will be contacted by Sharpham Wine and offered the option to cancel your order.
We use a national courier service (DPD, DHL and Royal Mail Special Delivery in some cases). Our standard shipping charge is £9.50. We offer free delivery on all orders over £150.
We always try our best to dispatch orders as soon as possible, but, if you would prefer for us to send your parcel on a specific day (Mon-Thurs), please add this into your booking notes or email info@sandridgebarton.com with you order number to state your preferred shipment date. If there's something you particularly want and we're out of stock, that might delay us a few days.

Please note that we generally need more than 24hrs notice to deliver. If you order on say the 9th, for a birthday on the 10th, we cannot guarantee to get it there on time - though we'll try! If in doubt, give us a ring to see what's possible. If you're buying cheese for a wedding or any other specific occasion, you can order as much in advance as you like: we will be set up to deliver on the chosen day.
We use an overnight courier service, since we don't want the cheese in particular to be in transit any longer than that. Delivery to addresses other than England, Wales and lowland Scotland may take two days.
As you know, nothing is 100% (especially when it involves the roads ...), and very occasionally the 'overnight' service isn't. Generally, however, there's no problem and the cheese arrives next day as planned.
We can send wine and cheese to arrive between Tuesday - Friday, but not on a Saturday.
The delivery charge only covers delivery to one address. If you want our products sending to more than one address, please place separate orders.
Cheese, in particular, needs to be delivered quickly. For this to be possible we need a few things from you:
An accurate delivery address. This is essential, and if an incorrect postal address is supplied we won't be responsible for any delivery problems which may follow. So it's worth taking a moment to make sure you've given us the right house number, postcode etc. And there should be someone in! So do think carefully about your delivery address.
We'll ask you for a safe place where the delivery can be left - as a fail safe in case there is no-one in. Please try to keep your instructions simple, clear and brief. Please also note that if the package is left, it is at your own risk: the ideal situation is always a personal delivery address, whether this is home or workplace.
We also ask for a delivery day - and the recipient's phone number. From experience we know that sometimes the driver has trouble finding an address. This problem is usually resolved quickly if there's a phone number to call.
Cutting cheese accurately to a given weight is an art, not a science. What we can say is that we'll try to get pretty close to the quantity ordered, and if we go 'under' on one item we'll try and make up for it on another. Whole cheeses are also - as handmade products - approximate in weight, so bear in mind that a 'whole cheese’ described as 1.6kg could well be more or less than that.
All online orders are delivered by our courier DPD on a next day basis from date of dispatch. Whilst every care is taken to ensure that your order is received in good condition, we cannot be held responsible for missed deliveries. If you would like your order to be delivered on a specific date please add this information in the notes section of the order form. If you require tracking information for your order please email us directly at info@sandridgebarton.com with your order number.
