Sharpham Wine and Cheese are delighted at their success at the 2018 Taste of the West Awards recently. The 5 Gold and 1 Silver awards follow accolades of success at The Devon County Show, The British Cheese Awards and The Veggie Awards "Power Protein" category earlier in the season.
Sharpham Cremet currently holds Gold, Champion Cheese and Supreme Champion Food and Drink product with the Taste of the West Regional Food Group.
Managing Director Mark Sharman said "It is a testament to the hard work and attention to detail of my committed artisan staff that we continue to excite and impress the judges year after year with our cheeses".
Two of the gold medal winning cheeses, the Sharpham Cremet and Sharpham Ticklemore Goat have gone through to the final judging where category champions and the Supreme Champion are selected.
After 37 years of production Sharpham Wines and Cheeses continue to be available in many establishments who value locally produced artisan food and drink to offer their customers.
Naturally the cheese and wine feature strongly on the menu at the Cellar Door Cafe at the Sharpham vineyard and were a foundation of the 8 course "5 mile" tasting menu, and the exclusive "back vintage" tasting evening both of which were sell outs and hugely successful events. Keep an eye out for more to come.
