A 1850’s boathouse situated on the banks of the River Dart in South Devon that is perfect for a peaceful getaway. We’ll transport your luggage down for you and you can either enjoy the 0.5km walk through the Beech woods to the property or hop in the back of the Land Rover with your luggage.
Upon arrival to the Boathouse, you'll drive through our Sandridge Barton Vineyard, before we meet you to transport you down to the river bank property. At the holiday home, you will descend a steep set of 71 steps to the entrance whilst taking in the first uninterrupted views of the River Dart before you enjoy your peaceful stay.
Entrance to the property leads into a light, open-planned kitchen / dining / living space with floor-to-ceiling French windows stretching the width of the boathouse providing panoramic views from the balcony. The downstairs is also equipped with a second bathroom at the rear.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, a master with an en-suite and stunning river views, and a twin bedroom.

Living space – dining table for 4, TV with DVD, Wi-Fi, phone, wood burner, barbecue on balcony
Bedrooms – bed linen and towels included cot and highchair available on request.
You are welcome to explore your surroundings but please be mindful that Sandridge Barton estate is a working farm / vineyard so take care to avoid outbuildings and farm machinery.
Stoke Gabriel is a small village situated 2km away and has local pubs, a village store and waterside restaurant.
Other nearby attractions include the beaches of Torbay, fishing town of Brixham, historical Dartmouth and Totnes, and numerous National Trust properties such as Agatha Christie’s Greenway.
Please note the recommended arrival before 5pm, no pets, and no smoking.
Please be mindful that to stay in The Boathouse you must be physically able to comfortably ascend and descend the 71 steps down the river bank to the property.
